I Slappa Da Bass T-shirt - Vintage Cut
The unique style of SLAP BASS on the awesome electric bass guitar is usually thought to have been invented by Sly and The Family Stone bassist Larry Graham. This style involves hitting or 'slapping' the string with the thumb, although double bass players like Pops Foster, Wellman Braud and Chester Zarkis had been doing this style for ages. They're all fantastic musicians with even greater and indeed cooler names, although jazzman Alcide 'Slow Drag' Pavageau might well have the greatest, coolest name of them all. Indeed if I had as groovy a name as Alcide Parageau I'm not sure I'd let anyone call me Slow Drag.
