The Naga Jolokia Chilli also know as the Bhut Jolokia or The Ghost Pepper was officially measured at over one million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) in 2006 and replaces the Red Savina Habanero (557,000 SHU, measured in 1994) as the current record holder for bein g the hottest chilli in the world!
These Naga Jolokia chillies are EXTREMELY hot. We recommend taking serous precautions when handling these. You should consider wearing gloves at all times when handling and also perhaps wear a dust/vapour mask if you are grinding them (especially if you use a pestle and mortar) or are intending to rehydrate and reducing the Naga Jolokia Chillis into a paste.
